In Rochefort (Charente-Maritime), the Masonic temple of the L’Accord Parfait lodge, located since 1843 at 63 Avenue Lafayette, is set to undergo extensive restoration work. This project has become essential in order to preserve the exceptional 19th-century décor, which is entirely listed as a historic monument – a unique feature in France.

On the ground floor is a library containing over 4,500 works, which opened in 1869, long before the creation of modern public media libraries. This heritage treasure is also part of the restoration project.

The aim of the restoration is to restore the building to its 19th-century state, respecting the original materials and consolidating the structure without altering its unique Masonic identity. The work, estimated to cost over €1 million, is expected to take two years.
