On Thursday 27 March, over 450 guests gathered at the Hôtel de la Grande Loge de France in Paris to celebrate the inauguration of the Obedience’s new museum.
During the event, Grand Master Thierry ZAVERONI gave a speech in the Grand Temple Pierre Brossolette, accompanied by Mrs Karen TAÏEB, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of heritage, the history of Paris and relations with religious denominations, and Mr Geoffroy BOULARD, Mayor of the 17ᵉ arrondissement of Paris, before cutting the official cord.
Leading figures from the worlds of politics, the media, science, culture and heritage were also on hand to salute this achievement.
Completely redesigned, this museum embodies the desire of the Grande Loge de France to be more open to the community. It contributes to the enhancement of an intangible legacy that is the bearer of ideas, humanist commitments and the quest for meaning.
A place of memory, culture and transmission, it marks a major step in the history of our institution, at the crossroads of Masonic heritage and spiritual legacy.
